Why are some of the words/phrases in my message blocked?

TextKit has built-in compliance rules that check for words and phrases deemed as inappropriate, non-compliant, and misaligned with brand guidelines.

Our compliance rules and profanity filters check both inbound and outbound messages for:

  • Promotional marketing language (e.g. blowout sale, big discount)
  • Syntax errors (e.g. misspelt words, improper punctuation) 
  • Inappropriate language and profanity (words or phrases) 

You will get a coaching tip pop-up that lets you know why the word or phrase was flagged. You must correct the flagged word or phrase before proceeding to send the message.

These compliance rules protect you (as the user), your customer, and your company from sending and receiving inappropriate messages that could lead to potential legal issues.

Note for Admin Users: The list of non-compliant words and phrases is configurable to meet your business' unique needs and branding guidelines! Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you would like to configure this list.
